So I mentioned a while ago that I would be checking out this restaurant and getting back to blogging about how it was and.... it was amazing! Kind of small but very busy. try to make a dinner reservation if you go because I went on a Tuesday night and there was still a 30 minute wait. The drink menu is extensive, especially the selection on beer. The food menu is fairly smaller in comparison, but this helps you narrow all the goodness down. Also, if you love mussels then this is the place to go! Half the menu is all mussel dishes, yum!
I spent about 3 hours with a friend taking our time chowing down through all the goodies. I will give you the play by play of what we had. The service was GREAT (Adam) and everyone was very friendly and welcoming.
Here's what we had;
Beer: Amsterdam Framboise ( a yummy raspberry and pink-coloured draught beer)
Apetizers: Flatbread and Dips $9.25
(housemade tzatziki, curried butternut squash hummus, feta roasted red pepper dip, grilled beer flatbread)
AND
Duck Confit Corn Dogs $12.50
(cherry beer ketchup, pineapple mustard
dip....Like pogos1)
Dinner: Wood Smoked Buffalo Wings $12.95
(fruit beer-marinated, chipotle hot sauce celery sticks, québec blue cheese & leek)
Martini: French Martini
Dessert: Rocky Road Ice Cream Sandwiches $8.50
(coffee porter, homemade marshmallows, walnuts and stout brownie cookies)
AND
Homemade Beer Scream $6
(dragon stout & skor bar)
Our bill totalled $140 after tax and tip between two people, pretty good for the amount of food and goodness we got.
I would definately go back!
Once again the Beer Bistro is located at:
